Nanobiophotonics is an interdisciplinary major consisting of several fields such as photonics and electronics engineering, optics, biology, nanotechnology, chemistry, etc. The nanobiophotonics group at the faculty of new sciences and technologies at Tehran university has been held by Dr. Mohammad Mohammadimasoudi since 2016. He has a Nanophotonics Ph.D. degree from the Ghent University of Belgium. In this lab, we have several master, PhD, and post-doctroral researchers working on a variety of fields such as bio-photonics, electro-optics, nano-photonics, plasmonics, liquid crystal modeling, and sensors; which most of their projects are based on liquid crystals.
